Scripture - Mark 12:29-31 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. 30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
Observation - To understand the greatest commandment ever given. One of the teachers of the law in the midst of great debate over the scriptures comes and asks that very thing'; What is the greatest commandment? - Jesus replies "To love God will all your heart and your neighbor as yourself" To think that it all comes down to these two things. All of the law is held on these two things. Really all that God wants is for His people to love Him and to love each other. We get this so wrong. Trying to find the right doctrine, fighting amongst ourselves. Could you imagine a world focused on loving God and loving each other.
