Lev 10-12; Acts 16

Scripture - Acts 16:13-15 On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there. 14 One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message. 15 When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. "If you consider me a believer in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my house." And she persuaded us.

Observation - Paul and the guys were travelling and at this particular moment were trying to find a place to pray when they happened upon a group of women that began to gather there. Immediately they began to preach the gospel to that group. A woman named Lydia was there and God opened her heart. It was a major win for the kingdom as Lydia became influential in helping the apostle and the disciples in their ministry.

Application - So often we just move from task to task and forget to preach the gospel where ever we are. Where ever there is a group of people gathering we should be ready to preach. The bible says to be "instant in season and out of season". So often we miss opportunities to reach the lost. Getting caught up in our busy days, busy lives and activities of life - we miss out on opportunities to reach those around us. We never know when there is a Lydia waiting to hear...

Prayer - Father help me to be aware always of what you are doing and to preach the gospel where ever I go.
