Job 9-10; Acts 14-15

Scripture - Acts 14:8-11 And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother's womb, who had never walked. 9 This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, 10 said with a loud voice,"Stand up straight on your feet!" And he leaped and walked. 11 Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!"

Observation - Paul was doing the work of God no matter where he went. He has just been moved out of Iconium for preaching the gospel and the good news of Christ. He was being threatened and just about to be stoned so he leaves and heads to Lystra. In Lystra he meets this man that was without strength in his feet. I love the word here - "he saw that he had faith to be healed". So Paul told him to stand up...the man had faith to be healed. Paul could see his faith by looking at him.

Application - I often wonder if people can see my faith by looking at me. When I am in a troubled spot - do people look at me and say "that man has faith to make it through" or do they look at me and say "wow, he is miserable". I believe that we are called to have faith that is revealed. Faith that can move the mountain. Faith that can change circumstances. Faith that can eradicate even sickness. The issue is not God's ability but our faith to believe in his ability. Someone needs to look at us and say that man has faith.

Prayer - Father I need faith that can be seen. I want to have the whole world look at me and say "that man has faith". You are awesome - God and I love you and pray that today begins an elevated journey of faith...
